Obituary for Alease Pedigo

Alease Haymaker Pedigo, 79,  of Roanoke, Virginia, was welcomed into Heaven’s gates to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 19, 2023, after a long battle with dementia.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Adell Haymaker (Beemer); her father, Robert “Jack” Haymaker; a brother, Travis Haymaker; a daughter, Lisa Dawn Pedigo Fisher; son-in-law, Randy Fisher; and granddaughter, Kali Gail Hurd.

Surviving her are her husband of 58 years, James “Jim” L. Pedigo; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Gail and Rodney Hurd; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Len and Lisa Pedigo; seven grandchildren, Zach Fisher (Emily), Kody Hurd (Melissa), Miranda Jessie (Brandon), Dykotia Fisher, Andrew Hurd, Robert Hurd, and Luke Fisher; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Wirt, and sister-in-law, ChiChee (Eric) Gabbert.

Alease graduated from Lord Botetourt High School and was a cosmetologist for several years before she and Jim started their family. She shined brightest as a mother and housewife and loved her family dearly. She was a wonderful baker, decorator, and enjoyed traveling especially to Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Alease accepted Christ while attending Andrew Chapel and later attended Daleville Baptist Church and Franklin Heights Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Oakey’s North Chapel with The Rev. Gary Kingery officiating. Interment will be held in Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Botetourt County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Oakey’s North Chapel.
