Mr. Algie Layman Lawrence, 85, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away peacefully joining his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

He retired after many years of dedicated services at Quality Food, Hickory Springs. He had a love of corvettes and attending car shows. His family was his pride and joy and he loved them immensely and will be missed by all who dearly loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin R. Lawrence and Rena L. Lawrence; his first wife and mother of his children, Ellen; siblings, James, Edgar, Ervin, and Gertrude; and special friend, Sam Stanley.

Algie’s memories will forever be cherished by his loving family, son, Mark (Debbie) Lawrence; daughter, Trish Trent; grandchildren, Cory Trent, Lexi, Carter, and Casey Lawrence; great-grandchild, Levi; best friend, Vada Lawrence; and many nieces nephews, and extended family.
