Obituary for Andrea Jones (Lawhorn)

Andrea Sue Wills Lawhorn, 53, of Vinton Virginia went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2023.   She was born in Roanoke, Virginia on September 13, 1970. She graduated from William Byrd High School. Over the last 40 years she had spent her career as a local hair stylist in Vinton. In 2017 she retired from The Hair Co. where she spent the last three years of her career. Second to her family, her job and clients were the most important thing to her as she truly loved her job. She loved scrapbooking, organizing and any kind of craft. She poured her heart and soul into helping people, no matter the task, she was there with a smile. 

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Wesley and Nannie Gordon and great aunt and uncle Darrell and Callie English.

She leaves behind two daughters, Brittany Lawhorn and Taylor Lawhorn and her fur baby, Koda who were her entire world; two grandchildren, Paisley Snyder and Adrian Wallace; her wonderful parents, Michael and Susan Quesenberry; a step-brother, Chad Quesenberry; step-sister, Becky Arroyo and husband, Hector.  She was also very close with her aunt and uncle, Wesley and Sheri Gordon and cousins, Mary Gordon and Jacob Gordon.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 17 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM in Oakey’s Vinton Chapel with Dr. John Ott and Rev. Ricardo Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the Vinton EMS and Police Department for such a quick and caring response.
