Obituary for Ann Ohmsen (Davis)
Ann Davis Ohmsen, 90, of Roanoke, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021.
She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Paul Ohmsen, as well as two brothers and two sisters.
Ann’s family proudly speaks of her loving nature and the strong affection with which she raised her children. She had a servant’s heart and put her husband and two sons before all else in her life. In her leisure time she enjoyed hobbies such as knitting, gardening, and learning about her ancestry through years of genealogical work. Ann also possessed a vast collection of history books and the knowledge to go along with them.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories of Ann are her sons, Tom Ohmsen (Linda) and Stephen Ohmsen; grandson, Alan Ohmsen (Megan) of Vancouver, B.C.; sister, Marie Carlisle of Norfolk, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Ohmsen family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the kind staff at Park Oak Grove for their compassionate care of Ann in her final months. Arrangements handled by Oakey’s South Chapel.
