Balkishan “Balu” Soni, 68, passed away at home on May 24, 2023 with his family by his side. A recent resident of Roanoke, Virginia,

Balu was born in Jodhpur, India on September 9, 1954.

He loved to cook incredible meals for others, enjoy Indian street food, be surrounded by great company, and most recently, to spend time with his cherished grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Poorvi. Together, they share one daughter, Pooja, son-in-love, Nikesh, and two grandchildren, Jiya and Niam. Balu was eagerly looking forward to meeting his third grandchild later this summer. He was the son of the late Daulatram and Jawaribai Soni.

Close family and friends will say their final goodbyes on Saturday, May 27, 2023. He will be missed dearly.
