Berneice Ferguson Carter, 95, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Halloween Ferguson; her husband, Edward F. Carter; two daughters, Peggy Noel and Diane Kossow; and one son, Warren Edward Carter.

Berneice is survived by two sons, Ricky Carter, (Katherine) and Mark Carter (Susan); nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Wallace Ferguson (Judy), Walter Ferguson, Wayne Ferguson (Anne), and Gary Ferguson (Jackie); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Oakey’s South Chapel. Interment will follow at the Ferguson Family Cemetery.
