Obituary for Betty Jean Crowder (Carter)
Betty "Jean"C. Crowder, 92 of Salem, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward N. Crowder, a son, Larry G. Crowder, and two grandsons, Joshua Crowder and James Crowder.
Jean is fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A member of Melrose Baptist Church, Jean was a devout christian and prayer warrior who was always concerned for the well being of her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Tommy Crowder and wife Connie, Mark Crowder and wife Mary; a daughter, Mary Painter and husband, Jonnie, daughter-in-law, Deidre Crowder, two sisters-in-law, Ann T. Carter and Mary Crowder, a special friend, Di Thomason, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 4, 2022, at Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor Greg Hetherington officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Melrose Baptist Church Backpack Ministry.
