Obituary for Betty Dudley (Sapp)
Betty Louise Dudley, 81, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022.
She was a hard-working lady who loved the younger members of her family who she affectionately termed her “sugar babies.” Betty Lou was a longtime employee of Elizabeth Arden and Nature’s Outlet. She had a contagious smile and laugh that will live on long after her passing.
Betty Lou is survived by her husband, Richard Dudley; children, Ronald Fulton, Karen Thompson, and Jeff Fulton; sister, Martha Jean Sapp; stepchildren, Gary Dudley, Dreama Cunningham, Jimmy Dudley, and Cheryl Price; grandchildren, Ron Fulton, Amy Fulton, Amber Thompson, and Andrew Keeling; great-grandson, Landen Keeling; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Gladys Sapp; sisters, Carol Dalton, Mary Ellen Martin, and Connie Sue Jacobs; and brother, Paul Lester.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Oakey’s North Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Evergreen Burial Park.
