Carlton William Alcorn, 88, of Moneta passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.  Carlton was a caring, devoted and loving husband and father.  He served four years in the United States Air Force. He retired from Norfolk Southern Corporation in 1999 after 35 years of dedicated service.

Carlton cherished his time spent with his two daughters, their spouses, and his three grandsons. He always enjoyed working with his hands; whether it was in the yard trimming flowers and trees and or in his workshop making beautiful wooden frames for the jigsaw puzzles worked by the family.

Carlton was the son of the late Walter William Alcorn and Elsie Virginia Ferris Alcorn and was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, June Elizabeth Martin Alcorn.

Carlton is survived by his two daughters Ayme Gierchak(Karen); Leah Quam(Brian); grandsons, Marley Kodiak Quam, Lawson River Quam, and John Irish Gierchak IV; and numerous nephews and nieces who were all so special to him
