Carolyn Perdue Smith, 53 of Blue Ridge, Virginia passed away on May 23^rd, 2023. Carolyn was born June 10^th, 1969 in Roanoke, Virginia, to Billy Ray Perdue and Libby Carter Perdue. Carolyn graduated from Cave Spring high school Class of 1987 and was then married to the love of her life, Henry Anthony Smith (Tony) on June 12^th 1987. Their only child, Whitney was born in August of 1993, whom was her everything. Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Billy Ray Perdue.

Carolyn is survived by her Husband of 36 years, Henry Anthony Smith (Tony), Daughter, Whitney Smith Frashure, Son-In-Law (Son), John Everette Frashure Grandchildren, Owen Everette Frashure & Olivia Carter Frashure, Mother Libby Carter Perdue and Siblings William Oma Perdue, Elizabeth Anne Perdue, and Donnie Ray Perdue.

Carolyn loved her Family, Friends, Music, and Good Food. She was a Best friend to her daughter Whitney, and prided herself in the accomplishment of raising her under the same values her father and mother had impressed on her when growing up. She was an animal lover and enjoyed watching hummingbirds from her back porch with a cup of coffee and her dogs beside her.  In her free time she enjoyed trying new recipes, and crochet.  She enjoyed spending time at Layman’s family farms, where she had been an active member of the staff for years.

Her greatest privilege was being “GiGi” to her grandbabies, Owen (5) and Olivia (1), and she will continue to watch over them as they are raised under the same values of her daughter.

Services for close friends & Family will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and remember her in the way she would have most enjoyed with laughs, good food, and everyone that she touched throughout her lifetime.
