Obituary

Beloved father, Carroll Lee "Roby" Robertson of Boones Mill, Virginia, born on September 11, 1939 went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2020 at the age of 81.

Carroll proudly served in the United States Air Force, receiving a honorable discharge in 1957. His fellow Airmen would call him "high pockets" because he was so tall. He held numerous sales positions. He loved to tell stories to anyone who would lend an ear. He also was one of the first Bingo callers in the Roanoke area. He enjoyed his retirement with his new friends at the Red Wood Community Center in Rocky Mount, Virginia. He accepted the Lord into his heart and trusted him as his savior.

Special mention for his long life friend and Bingo buddy Carolyn Yopp.

He was proceeded in death by his loving wife Constance Yvonne Church, Son Lawrence Robertson, Daughter Margaret and Jamie Buck, Brother Charles F. Robertson.

He is survived by his youngest daughter Marilyn Ridgway, Grandchildren Ryan, Danielle Edwards, Chris, Brittany, Trish and Isabella Buck, his precious great grandson Lucas Ryan Edwards, God grand daughter Elizabeth Patsel, Sister-in-laws Marilyn Howard and Doris and Sarah Church, Nieces Ilona Todd, Cathy Alley and Carroll Caltett, Nephews Randy, Ronald and Timmy Scaggs, Joey, DJ, Aaron Church, Neil, and Darrell Church.

Carroll was raised by Lawrence David Robertson and Sarah of Hartwood, Virginia.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on a later date at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. Please check this obituary for updates of the scheduled service time.

My dearest father, No words can explain the terrible loss I feel without you. I know you are no longer in pain. You've got the wings of an angel now so fly high.
Watch over me as I am sure I'll need it. I love you so much, Little Marilyn
