Colleen M. Moore, 53, of Roanoke, formerly of Somerset, Massachusetts passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 with her family by her side.  Colleen was born on March 17, 1969 to Arthur and Joan Beaulieu Freitas.  She was raised and went to school in the Somerset, Massachusetts area. 

Colleen graduated from Bristol Community College in Fall River.  She operated a dance studio before marrying her husband of 31 years, Christopher Moore.  As the wife of a U.S. Navy serviceman, Colleen was soon traveling the world and living in many different places.  Colleen became a mother and raised two children.  She had many hobbies and adventures during her life.  When Chris was stationed in Sicily, Italy, Colleen had a job driving tour buses up the winding, narrow roads to Mt. Etna.  She loved doing crafts.  She became an instructor at Michael’s teaching various crafts and cake decorating. Colleen had a love for animals, having many pets over the years.

Colleen is survived by her husband, Chris Moore; her children, Nathan Moore and Mikaela Blaukovitch (and her husband, Kyle); her sisters, Cheryl Freitas-Pulliam (Roger) and Donna Freitas; her beloved dog, Gypsy and cat, Tinkerbell.  Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Joan Freitas.

A Celebration of Colleen's Life will be held on March 11, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Train Station, 1402 Jefferson Street,  Roanoke, Virginia.
