Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Grant, of Salem, Virginia, a loving and caring mother, aunt, sister and dear friend to many passed away into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 19, 2023.

She was a devoted employee of Medeco Security Locks for 48 years. Cindy had many talents from playing piano at her church, Faith Wesleyan Chapel in Salem or never forgetting anyone’s birthdays, whether it be by sending cards or drawing cards. Cindy touched many lives and enjoyed spending time with her family, daughter and friends. She loved animals of all shapes and sizes.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Dudley Spencer Meadows; sister, Dawn Meadows Bowles.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, David K. Grant; daughter, Jennifer Grant; step-daughter, April (Matt) Baker; two grandchildren, Dakota Wilson, Robert Baker; mother, Phyllis Underwood Meadows; sister, Vicki Long; special cousins, Tammy and Courtney Edmondson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Oakey’s South Chapel with Rev. George Larue and Rev. Arlis Shelor officiating. Inurnment will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
