Daniel Wayne Morgan, 78, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter B. and Tressie Morgan; brothers, Walter Morgan, Jr., Henry Morgan; sister, Marie Peters, Irene Thomasson, Betty Hutson, and Faye Dundore; and brother-in-law, Dana “Jr.” Thomasson.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Lois Powers Morgan; brother, Bobby Morgan (Jean); sister, Joyce Mitchell; sister-in-law, Nancy Boyd (James); brother-in-law, Wayne Powers (Kathleen); step-daughter, Pam Plaster (Bruce); grandchildren, Chase, Chad, and Chelie Plaster.

He worked for Norfolk Southern for 38 years, and the First Baptist Church for 13 years.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel. A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 4, 2023, with Pastor Jay Dove officiating.
