Obituary for Darrin Fotusky

Darrin Mitchell Fotusky, age 49, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 27, 2022 after an extraordinarily courageous battle with cancer. Darrin is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly Piche Fotusky, his parents, Nathan Edward and Sandra Ann Fotusky, his daughter, Ashley Fotusky and grandsons, Parker, Matix, and Sterling; step daughters, Samantha Godoy, Madelyn Montgomery, Grace Montgomery. Brothers, John Joseph and wife, Laurie, Nicholas Carl and wife, Alexis, David Michael and wife, Melissa, and Sister, Jennifer Marie and fiancée, Phil. Special nieces and nephews: Amber, Kaila, Tabitha, Tyler, River, Paige, David Jr, Karli, Norah, Candice. Maternal Grandmother, Eleanor D. Gillow and Great Aunt, Barbara Hubert. Aunt Patricia Racht and cousin Jason Kutch. As well as many other special cousins including Melissa Sprinkel and Patty Fotusky. Darrin was born in Honesdale, PA on December 16, 1972. He graduated from Honesdale High School and served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as Lance Corporal. He had a successful career at PA Short Distributing as Sales Manager for 22 years. He loved the outdoors, including golf, fishing, kayaking, camping and snowmobiling. He especially loved spending time with family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Oakeys South Chapel. Celebration of life to be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Oakeys South Chapel. The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful staff who provided excellent care at Carilion Roanoke Memorial and University of Virginia Hospital. A special thanks to Nancy Agee and Dr. Bill Fintel for all of their support. Also special thanks to the PA Short family for the unwavering support throughout Darrin’s illness. Darrin and Kim sincerely appreciate the special family and friends who provided food, transportation, home repairs, love and support during this difficult time.
