Denise Adkins Reedy, 74, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Denise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and one of the most talented and creative people you would ever meet. Her favorite job during her life was her time at the Roanoke Arts Council where she was able to use her talent and skills for all types of events. She was a magical seamstress who shared her skills with everyone who needed her. She loved watching her children do anything and everything. She loved art, flowers, and tomatoes out of the garden she shared with her loving husband of 45 years, Glenn A. Reedy, who preceded her in death.
Denise is survived by her three children who will miss her everyday, Michelle Leigh Hanna, Stacie Reedy Vest and her husband Jerald, and her son, Christopher Glenn Reedy. She was a loving grandmother to the “loves of her life”, Ian and Mia Vest. She also leaves behind her sister, Vicki Adkins Stinnette and brother-in-law Mike; her brother, William “Bill” Davis Adkins, II, and sister-in-law Cathy. Denise is also survived by three brothers-in-law, Harold Reedy and wife, Earlene, and Kenneth Reedy and wife, Debbie and Randall Craft and two sisters -in-law; Darlene Bailey and Judy Lucas and many nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to give gratitude to Gentle Shepherd Hospice for their care of Denise.
