Dennis W. Patrick, 86, of Roanoke, Virginia passed away at his home on Friday, May 19, 2023.  He was born September 12, 1936.

Dennis graduated from Hargrave Military Academy.  He worked for Appalachian Power, retiring as a Substation Supervisor after many years of service.  Dennis was a quiet man, known as a “Jack of All Trades” who could fix or repair just about anything.  Dennis was a devout Christian and a member and Deacon at Preston Oaks Baptist Church.  He was actively involved in the youth ministry, World Changers and Disaster Relief organizations through the church. Dennis was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Yvonne Patrick; his children, Kevin Patrick (Lorri), Kim Bolton (Rob), and Keith Patrick (Ginny Lynn); and his grandchildren, Whitney Bolton, Brandon Bolton (wife, Aly and their son, Jackson), Nathan, Kristen, Katelin, and Justin Patrick.

The family politely request no floral arrangements for the services but suggest donating to the “Campus Improvement Fund” at Preston Oaks Baptist Church, Prestonn Ave., Roanoke, VA 24012.

Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Oakey’s North Chapel with Pastor Joe Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
