Obituary for Elizabeth Frazier

Elizabeth Anne Frazier, 61, of Roanoke, died Thursday, June 23, 2022 at her home. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on July 22, 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Arthur B. Frazier and Hazel Hootman Frazier. Her younger brother, David Frazier, also predeceased her.
Elizabeth grew up in Virginia Beach and attended J. J. Brewbaker Academy there. She went on to attend the University of Richmond, earning a bachelor's degree in psychology and a Juris Doctor. Following her graduation, she applied her law degree to a career in journalism. She worked as a field producer for CNN, specializing in coverage of crime and courts. She later moved on to a similar position with Fox News. After moving from Washington to Roanoke to help care for her ailing parents, she continued to work part-time as a freelance media contractor.
A self-described social butterfly, Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her friends and making new ones. She also enjoyed cooking, tennis, water sports and anything dealing with the ocean or her hometown of Virginia Beach.
She is survived by her husband, James Albert Davis; one niece; several cousins and her rescue pets: Sox, Mickey, Cuddles and Ginger. In lieu of flowers, the family asks consideration of a memorial gift to Angels of Assisi, the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Cancer Society.
At Elizabeth's request, she will be cremated without a viewing. A service to celebrate her life will be announced at a later time.
