Elizabeth Marie Keyton
May 6, 1994 – December 28, 2021
Elizabeth Marie Keyton, 27 years old, of Copper Hill, Virginia, gained her angel wings on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.
Elizabeth was self-employed as a horse trainer. She had a great love of animals, and collected critters of every shape, size and variety. She was most happy when she was with her beloved horses. She loved her OTTB Thoroughbreds, and had rescued several horses, dogs, and cats. Her animals were her pride and joy.
She leaves behind her beloved horses Frosty, Phoenix, Juno, and Logan, as well as her dogs, Luna and Jada, and her beloved 24-year-old cat Lil Bit. She had several hobbies and met friends everywhere she went. Her smile could light up the darkest of days, and she will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Elizabeth leaves behind her parents, Michael D. Keyton (Chrissy C.) of Roanoke, and Allison Whittington Yopp (Tommy) of Boones Mill; siblings, Katelyn Whittington William Windel of Boones Mill, Piper Ellis of Boones Mill, and Ashley Yopp of Rocky Mount; grandmothers, Helen S. Keyton of Copper Hill and Diana C. Cauldwell of Boones Mill; grandfather, Dee Whittington (Maria B.) of Helen, Ga.; aunts and uncles, Sandra (Wade) Dudding of New Castle, and Wayne (Debra) Keyton of Copper Hill; great-uncles, Grat Chrisley of Charlotte, N.C., and Joe Chrisley of Copper Hill; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Harry and Ruby Sloane of Copper Hill; grandfather, Darrell Keyton of Copper Hill; and great-grandmother, Frances Dages of Atlanta, Ga.
There will be a Gathering with a Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Oakey's South Chapel from the hours of 1 PM to 4 PM.
