Gala Patricia Laxton, 75, of Moneta, Va., was called home on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Porter.

Surviving is her husband of 36 years, Douglas Laxton; children, Edward Wells (Brenda) and Richard Wells; stepchildren, Douglas Laxton, Pam Collins, Nancy, and George Huffman; grandchildren, Cameron, Elexa Peters (David), Dakota and Noah; great-grandchild, River; mother, Jean Porter; aunt, Shirley Jones; and special friend, Phyllis Widner.

She was a graduate of Andrew Lewis High School. Pat absolutley loved and adored her dogs Foxy, Rowdy and Kiki.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Blue Ridge memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.Oakeys.com.
