Garland B. Berry, 83, of Roanoke, Va. passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy H. Berry and Samuel D. Berry. He will also be joining his son, Garland Banks “Bo” Berry Jr.

Surviving is his brother, Thomas D. Berry; sister, Dorothy B. Flinchum (Tom); granddaughter, Carley Ayers; great-granddaughter, Ella; nieces, Tammy Keith, Jennifer Paplomatas, and Monica Wolfe; his loving companion of many years, Norma Irwin; and many great-nieces and nephews.

He retired from Roanoke County Schools. He was very active in sports in the Roanoke Valley.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Oakey’s South Chapel. Friends and family will be received two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
