Grace Darling Hawkins Burton Taylor, 95, of Roanoke passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. She was born on March 23, 1928 to the late William and Grace Hawkins. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, William Frank Burton and John Stafford Taylor; brothers, Samuel, Edward, Holcomb and Richard Hawkins; sister, Sally Wilkes and step-daughter, Virginia.

Grace is survived by her sons. Timothy F. Burton and his wife, Nancy and W. Mark Burton; grandsons, Timmy and his wife Devin, Andrew and his wife, Chelsea and Aaron Burton; step-son, Dr. J. Stafford Taylor and his wife, Teresa.

Grace was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. She retired from Virginia Western Community College having worked in the Learning Lab and the president’s office.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Evergreen Burial Park with the family receiving friends on hour prior to the service.
