Harold “Lee” Yancey, Jr. age 64 of Roanoke, VA formerly of Hinton, WV passed away on March 14, 2022 in Roanoke, VA. Born March 11, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio, Lee was the son of the late Harold Lee and Ernestine Yancey. He graduated from Hinton High School in 1977 and served as a mechanic and instructor in the United States Army for eight years.

He is preceded in death by his stepmother Mildred Yancey, stepsister Connie Chewning Adkins, son Jaime Yancey and stepson Joshua Mann. Lee is survived by his loving wife Judy Mann, his daughter Michelle Phillips and her husband Ray and stepdaughter Jamie Mann. Additional family members include Edna Vest and husband Andy Vest and Merenda Crotts.

Together Lee and Judy have eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Grandchildren include Nikki Robinson, Autumn Harrah, Faryn Phillips, Lucas and Sadie Mann, Jacob and Josiah Jarrell and Abigail Vest. Naomi Grace Robinson is their one great grandchild. Lee is also survived by his stepsister Bonnie Young, stepbrothers Timmy and Tommy Chewning, half brothers Chris Yancey and Michael Bragg, a special cousin David Johnson and many nieces and nephews.

Lee was a loving soul with an infectious smile and a heart of gold. He will be missed tremendously by everyone that knew him. A celebration of life will be held in his honor of Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2 pm at the Pipestem Ruritan Club in Pipestem, WV.
