Jane Margaret Josephine McCormick Smith, 90, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 at her home.  She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 26, 1932 to the late Richard McCormick and the late Margaret Reynolds McCormick.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard McCormick, II.

She was a loving mom to her two sons, Mike and Tim and their wives, Linda and Karen;  grandmother to her five grandchildren Ashley, Bailee, Allie, Drew and Parker and a great grandmother of three. She was fiercely independent and just as fiercely loyal to her friends. Ninety years strong she joins her husband, Al and favorite dog, Jackson in a place of peace. God Speed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of the Nazareth Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Patrick Golden.  Interment of ashes will follow at Evergreen Burial Park.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of the Nazareth Catholic Church, 2505 Electric Road, Roanoke, VA  24018 or the Roanoke Valley SPCA, 1340 Baldwin Ave. NW, Roanoke, VA  24012.
