Jill Denise Byrd, 69, of Roanoke, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 with family by her side. Jill was born on February 4th, 1954 and raised in Roanoke, Virginia.  Jill is preceded in death by her father and mother, Calvin “Red” and June Bryant.

Jill is survived by her husband, Danny Byrd; sister, Sharon Witt; daughter and son-in-love, Jessica and Matthew Sarver; and her grandchildren, Juliet and Isaac. Jill is also survived by her nieces and nephew including Sindy Presley (Melissa and Christopher), Jason and Micah Witt (Samuel and Hazel), and Samantha and Bo Morgan (Gracie and Ellie). 

Throughout her life, Jill was loved by many other individuals and loved others well. She retired from Kroger in Daleville, Virginia where she made many lifelong friends and relationships. Jill was known for her love of animals, especially dogs, and during her lifetime had more than 20 dogs.

Family will receive visitors on Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 4:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m. at Oakey’s North Chapel on Peters Creek Rd.  A Graveside Service will take place on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Virginia with Pastor Barry Witt officiating.
