Obituary for Mildred Turner
Mrs. Mildred Lucille Turner of Roanoke, Virginia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 at the age of 104.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Barton and Essie Spangler Barton; her first husband, Quenton Ratliff of Grundy, VA.; her late husband Aldine H. Turner; her son Quenton Ratliff Jr. and his wife Linda; and all of her siblings.
Those left to cherish her wonderful memories are her son, Robert Ratliff; grandson, David Ratliff and his wife Tammy; granddaughter, Ashley Ratliff-Ives and her wife Tori; great-granddaughters, Lindsey and Ella Ratliff; and special friends, Lorraine Thompson and Sarah Melendy. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of Mildred's life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 11 am with Pastor David Skole who will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Oakey's South Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
