Obituary

Patsy Hall Saunders “Pat”, 76, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred E Saunders, Sr. "Pete"; parents, Jay Hugh and Marybell Hall; brother, Chuck Hall; sister, Zelphia Journell.

Pat was born in Roanoke, VA on August 12, 1944, married to Alfred on August 28, 1961, and were together for 58 years. She graduated from Cave Spring High School, was a housewife and enjoyed reading, crafts, painting and studying the Bible.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Mitchell and husband Glenn of Moneta, Pete Saunders, Jr. and wife, Maryanne of Debary, FL and Mary Jones and husband, Dennis, of Salem; grandchildren, Travis Wray and wife Amy, Coraleigh Jones, Kierston Mitchell, Landon Jones, Ashton Saunders and Zachary Saunders; great granddaughter, Addison Wray; sisters, Linda Smith and Pam Shoemake and husband, Lenny; brother, Bobby Hall and wife, Fran.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Jordantown Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wesley Witcher officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 Friday, September 11, 2020 at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel.

Patsy was my sweet dear cousin. Also I didn't get to see her much I loved her. She will be missed. My prayers will be with the family.
