Patty Lou Myers Johnson, 86 of Roanoke passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Blanche Dunbar Myers; her sisters and their husbands, Joann Dize (William) and Jean Collins (Eugene); brothers, Billy and David Myers; and her sister-in-law, Mary Jo “JoJo” Myers.

Patty graduated from Fincastle High School in 1955.  She married James T. Johnson, Jr. and together they celebrated 66 years of marriage.  They enjoyed camping together and going to skeet shooting matches.  Patty worked as a seamstress for most of her life.  She was employed by Kenrose Manufacturing Company, Maid Bess Corp., and in later years, The Home Shopping Network, and finally retiring at the age of 84 from QVC.  Patty was an active member of Preston Oaks Baptist Church. She was a beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed.

Patty is survived by her husband, James T. Johnson, Jr.; her brother, Jerry Myers; sister, Betty Reed (Sonny); Sisters-in-law, Terry Myers and Sharon Myers; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for all the loving care and kindness they provided Patty and her family.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to the charity of your choice.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Donna Hopkins-Britt officiating.
