Ricky Lynn Bowyer, 67, of Montvale, VA, passed peacefully at home in his sleep on Sunday, February 26, 2023.  Ricky was a life-long resident of Montvale and spent many years working as a welder and iron worker.  He enjoyed spending time in his garage with his family, friends, and dogs. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Irene Bowyer; as well as his brother, Buddy Bowyer.  He leaves behind his children, Justin and wife, April Bowyer and two grandsons, Craig and Cain; his son, Matthew Bowyer; and daughter, Lindsey Washington and husband, Brandon and three granddaughters, Lillian, Vivian and Violet; his sister and brother-in-law, Gay and Robert Ellis; his nephew, Steve Bowyer and his family.  He also has many dear friends that he considered to be family. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Oakey’s East Chapel with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 PM in the Montvale Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Pastor Douglas Powers officiating.
