Robert “Bubba” Loyd Freeman, 65 of Roanoke passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.  He was born November 14, 1957, son of the late Rudolph Freeman and Norma Lee Jenkins Huffman.  He is also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Freeman and brother, Rudolph David Freeman.

Bubba was a humorist, loved to joke and laugh and had a wonderful personality.

He is survived by is son, Brian Barnett; brother, Tony Curtis Freeman; sisters, Tammy Beach Sainz, Sheena Holmes and Cindy Carr; granddaughers, Heather Barnett, Kayla Barnett and fiancé Ryan; special grandson Jakon and many other grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Patti Clements.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 20, 2023 at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Bishop Quigg Lawrence and Rev. Barbara H. Murray officiating.  Burial will follow in Fair View Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Oakey’s South Chapel.  Online condolences may be made at www.oakeys.com.
