Russell Herbert Shreve, 93, of Salem, Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 while holding his wife’s hand. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Charlotte Fulcher Shreve; son, Gary Shreve (Patsy); two daughters, Julie Fleshman (Tony) and Jennifer Thompson (Greg); 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. And a sister, Blanche Yates (Lester). He was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church and a founding member of Three Oaks United Methodist Church.
The family will receive visitors from 1 to 2 pm on Friday, October 7, at Oakey’s Roanoke Chapel with the Funeral Service beginning at 2 pm with the Rev. Dr. Rob Colwell officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park.
