Sarah Ann Roberts, 71,of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Hunter and Anna Boon Roberts, and her sister-in-law, Brenda Roberts.

Sarah is survived by her brothers, Hunter and wife, Joyce, of Richmond, Va., Kent and wife, Kathy, of Roanoke, Va., and Mark of Nicholasville, Ky. She is also survived by niece, Whitney Pratt and husband, Sean, and their children, Tatum and Ian, of Richmond, Va.; nephews, Andrew Roberts of Roanoke, Va., Adam Roberts of Nashville, Tenn., and Cameron Roberts of The Hague, Netherlands.

Sarah was active in her church giving generously of her time and participating on multiple mission trips to Africa. She had many close friends and enjoyed playing games and going out to dinner.

A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Oakey’s Roanoke Chapel (Downtown) with the Reverend Dr. Tom Stocks officiating. A private interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Sarah’s favorite charity or to a charity of your choice.
