Obituary for Skip Shepherd
On Saturday, March 20, 2021, Skip Shepherd, a loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 62.
Skip was born April 21, 1958 in Bristol, Va. He had a passion for playing guitar and riding around in his Jeep with the top back. He also enjoyed watching football and supporting his favorite team, the Cowboys. Skip was also a member of the Shriners and loved raising money to help children.
Skip was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Shepherd, his mother, Cindy Shepherd, and his brothers, Jack Shepherd, Jeff Shepherd, and Rusty Shepherd. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Shepherd; four children, Daniel Shepherd, Brandon Widner, Carrie Springs, and Chris Shepherd; nephews, Stuart and John Jr.; niece, Anitra; and numerous grandkids.
A small, private gathering will be held to honor Skip. Please speak with the family regarding this if you wish to be present. Arrangements by Oakey’s Roanoke Chapel.
