Jeanette was born in Alderson, WV on May 26, 1919. Her mother died when Jeanette was 2 years old and after her father remarried, the family moved to Lynchburg, VA where they lived for a couple of years before coming to Roanoke, VA. After graduation from Jefferson High School, she was employed as a bookkeeper by the Roanoke Merchants Association, and Southern Pawn Shop. She also worked at Fallon Florist making corsages for ladies to wear to church services on Easter Sunday and for events such as the annual Thanksgiving Day football game between VPI and VMI. She accepted a job as bookkeeper at Jefferson Electric Company where she met Charles W. Williamson, Jr. They were married at Calvary Baptist Church on June 29, 1946.

The family wishes to thank the many friends, the members of Calvary Baptist Church and Franklin Memorial Baptist Church for your prayers, and cards over the years. Both the prayers and cards were greatly appreciated and the cards she received brightened her day and always made her smile. Thank you for being so kind and thoughtful to our Mother.
The family also wishes to thank the special nurses from Good Samaritan Hospice, Diana and Bethany for their love, compassion, and gentle care shown to our Mother.

As much as we appreciate the thoughtfulness, the family requests no food or flowers. Please consider a contribution in Jeanette’s memory to Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 12226, Roanoke, VA 24023 or Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Rd, Roanoke, VA 24018.
