Teresa Ann Callahan, 73, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

Teresa was born on March 10th, 1950 to Albert and Louise Callahan. She was a lifelong resident of the Roanoke Valley and a graduate of William Byrd High School.

Teresa worked in dietary services for many years at Richfield and Carilion until she retired from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was a beloved mom, nana, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Basil (Amanda) Martin and Melanie Martin; brother, Alvin (Dolly) Callahan; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Teresa was the proud nana of four  Anthony, Enrique, Leo and Maya.

The family would like to thank Berkshire Health and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care and kindness to Teresa and her family during her brief illness.

The family will receive friends from 12 - 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel with services to follow at 2 p.m. 

Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
