Obituary for Theressa Simmons
Mrs. Theressa Ann Flowers Simmons, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away peacefully joining her beloved husband in Heaven on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the age of 81.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius Dunsmore Flowers and Josie Edwards Flowers, her husband, Charles Oscar Simmons, Jr. siblings, Cornelius D. Flowers, Jr., Joyce Geary; children, Peggy Phillips, Brenda Narum, Joseph and John Narum.
Those left to honor Theressa’s memories are her brothers, Richard W. Flowers (Nancy) and Charles Gordon Flowers (Mary); step-daughters, Barbara Jennings and Nancy Simmons; her special granddaughter; Teressa Foxx, and numerous other grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service honoring Theressa’s life will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends and family one-hour prior to the service. Mrs. Simmons’s is entrusted to Oakey’s Roanoke Chapel.
