Mr. Thomas Adams, of Vinton, Virginia passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday, January 2, 2023 at the age of 87. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Martha; sister, Jackie.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memories are his loving wife of 34 years Joan Adams; sons, Jeff (Connie ) and Kevin (Erin); daughters, Mel (Charlie), Evone (Steve), Tammy (Mike), and  Candy; numerous grand-children and great grandchildren; siblings, Patty, Richy, Johnny; special friends, Cindy and Jeff.

Tom was born in Indiana but grew up in Michigan where he became a huge Michigan Wolverine fan. He lived in Virginia with his adored wife Joan for 34 years after meeting and falling in love at first sight. Tom worked as a produce broker for many years for local grocery chains. He was an avid gardener and golfer, and took pride in coaching golf for the Roanoke Catholic high school. Tom will be remembered as a loving man who wore his heart on his sleeve.

“Although I loved you dearly, I couldn’t make you stay – a golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me he only takes the best.”

A mass funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at noon at St. Andrews Catholic Church.
