Tony Lynn Holt was called home by our Heavenly Father on October 11, 2020 to a joyous reunion with his sweet Mama. Tony was born February 23, 1963 in Roanoke, Virginia to the late James Austin and Viola Marie Holt Sr. He was the youngest of eight children. He was proceeded in death by his beloved parents and sister Betty Scarbrough. Left behind to cherish his memory is his brother James Holt Jr. and his wife Phyllis. Along with his sister's Barbara Chisom, Dorothy Clemmer, Louise Powers and her husband Bruce, Faye Abbott and her husband Bernie, and Sue Wilson and her husband Roland. Tony was loved by numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony graduated from Patrick Henry High School, in Roanoke Virginia, in 1981. He grew up in the church and was a member of Waverly Place Baptist Church of Roanoke. Tony worked at Western Virginia Water Authority for several years until he had to depart due to health issues.

Tony enjoyed spending time with his family, and he loved family reunions. He was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could. He would often go hours ahead of time, to reserve a spot at the park for us, to ensure that we would have access to the picnic shelter and the ballfield. Our family would always split into teams to play a game of softball together. He also enjoyed spending the holidays and having home cooked meals together with family.

Tony was an avid WWII buff and enjoyed discussing stories with other war enthusiasts. He loved movies, especially westerns and war movies. He would often call his family to share the news of a favorite movie of his, that was showing, that he thought someone might enjoy.

Tony especially loved Christmas, and had a special talent for decorating Christmas trees at home and at work. During the holidays, he would always keep his nieces and nephews informed of any special holiday shows that they may like.
