Obituary for Walter Willard Ferguson
Walter W. Ferguson, age 84 of Salem passed away on August 28, 2023. He was born March 19 1939, son of the late Clyde, Sr. and Halloween Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley and ex-wife, Nancy.
Walter wore many hats in his careers as he was a milkman, a milk salesman, drove for Abbot bus lines, delivered oil & gas, and worked at a service station.
Walter was an excellent example to his children in many ways. He cherished his brothers and sisters, he loved many and was loved by many. He will be missed.
Walter leaves behind 2 sons Mike Ferguson (Beth) and Jerry Ferguson (Heather); 2 grandchildren, Danielle and Carter; brothers: Wallace Ferguson (Judy), Gary Ferguson (Jackie) and Wayne Ferguson (Ann).
The funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Oakey’s South Chapel with interment to follow in the Ferguson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Oakey’s South Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.oakeys.com
