Dear family-
I remember Cousin Danny being a joy to be around when I was a child. I thought he was so funny and he had a gentle spirit about him. I would look forward to visits from him and his family. I remember him taking me in to meet Erin and Renee for the first time- and showing me how they were holding hands in their crib. And I remember thinking it was so fun that he got into the pool with my sister, Stacey, and I one summer and played around- he wasn’t one to just sit on the deck. My heart reaches out to you Lois, Stacey, Erin, Renee, Elizabeth, and Danny. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you, but I’m with you in spirit nonetheless.

Being first cousins, with our mothers being very close sisters, Danny and his sister Cathy, and I and my brother Frank, spent much time together growing up. Even as a little guy, Dan was always concerned for the one in the group who might be feeling left out, or kept losing at “Candyland”, or might have received too harsh a punishment from a parent for some misdeed. He was the one who shared his bicycle with the kid up the road who didn’t have a bike.
As a man who followed Jesus Christ, his compassion for others continued through his life, whether with fellow church goers, extended family,
strangers, or his own family who meant everything to him.
His smile and his laugh was contagious.
He was a crafter and avid writer. His vision was to help children with dyslexia want to read because they loved what they learned in a book. Danny’s first published book is expected to be ready shortly.
